Big River BBQ and Talent Showcase

Creative Kids in Big River (about an hour northwest of Prince Albert) hosted a fun talent showcase and barbecue June 11. The event featured thirty-some performances by kids taking guitar, piano and voice lessons in Big River, including some Creative Kids applicants. This year Rich McFarlane of Mosaic Music in Prince Albert has been commuting once a week to the kids in Big River who want to learn to play guitar. He was there June 11 to accompany some of his students through their first performance on stage. Julie Darwin, who provides Big River children with voice lessons, had a number of children in their singing debut as well.

Thanks to volunteers, TD Michele staff and all the performs and parents who supported the barbecue and raised about $900 for Creative Kids applicants in Big River.
